The Social Finance Foundation does not lend directly to customers. Instead it operates by funding other organisations which interface directly with the customer. For the community and voluntary sector, social enterprises, sports clubs and any other not-for-profit organisations who seek loan or bridging finance, they can contact one of two SLOs – Clann Credo or Community Finance Ireland below.
- Clann Credo - Clann Credo helps to build stronger communities by providing social finance for community growth.
- Community Finance Ireland – Community Finance Ireland stands as the key provider of social finance, free advice, business support and mentoring to the social economy sector in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
In respect of individuals who wish to set up their own business or support their existing business and who find it difficult to obtain finance from mainstream institutions, then Microfinance Ireland (as a subsidiary of the Foundation) may be able to help.
- Microfinance Ireland - Microfinance Ireland (MFI), as a not-for-profit lender, has been established to deliver the Government’s Microenterprise Loan Fund.
